From Disco’s heyday comes Dino Delaurentiis’ multi-million-dollar mega-flop,
KING KONG. While pretty ignominious as a film on most every count, veteran composer
John Berry (who gave us the original James Bond film scores) provides a solid
orchestral soundtrack. Certainly rare and even more likely to become a conversation
piece if the rumors about Peter Jackson’s remake of the greatest Great Ape adventure are true.
