OK…let’s just say it; Freud would have had a field day with Neil Jordan’s dark, (and darkly beautiful) psycho-sexual trope on the “Little Red Riding Hood” story, “Company of Wolves”.
The score, composed by film music veteran, George Fenton (previously nominated for an Oscar for his music in GANDHI) provided a suitably dark, poly-stylistic, “once-upon-a-time” soundtrack for this most beautiful and celebrated variation on the lycanthrope theme.
