Hexacord is proud to announce the release of a new series dedicated to the Golden Age of Italian Filmscores. Each CD will focus on the artistry of one of Cinecitta's great composers, including air-checks, never-before released rarities, previously forgotten cues for television and much more! Make no mistake, these are "cult" classics, performed by the top studio musicians of the time, lovingly transferred from the original analogue source material by Italian Film Music archivist, Professor Roberto Zamori. It has been Hexacord's goal to give new life to the sounds of the AUTHENTIC sound of sixties and seventies Italian soundtracks... introducing the genius of artists like Alessandroni, Morricone, De Masi and Nascimbene to a new generation of fans. Great care has been taken to capture the TRUE cinematic experience of this music, preserving the AUTHENTIC sounds of the day with no added electronic enhancements/distortion to the original tracks.

The present collection features an assortment of lounge/funk/jazz tracks from a number of the maestro's less-than-distinguished cinematic outings, spanning the period from 1965 (Slalom) to 1979 (Viaggio con Anita).
