REJOICE! The lost has been found!

Once thought to be lost forever, the damaged master tapes were recently discovered by DigitMovies and restored for this, the DEFINITIVE premier release of this great soundtrack! Best known for his brilliant forays into the giallo and the erotic/lounge genres, Bruno Nicolai was an extremely adept composer of that cinematic evergreen, the Spaghetti western.

Written in the same year that Bruno Nicolai co-wrote the music for the spy spoof movie “Ok Connery” with Ennio Morricone “Gentleman Jo…uccidi” is truly a vintage Spag Western experience. Beginning with a bombastic opening song (“Gold and Power”) performed by I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni, Nicolai’s thrilling soundtrack pulls leaves no convention unturned - including bass flute and harmonica performances by the legendary Franco De Gemini Nicolai, deft ethnic touches and a beautiful, melancholy theme for the “man who comes back to revenge”.

Recently discovered in Nicolai’s own private collection, the original session tapes were unfortunately damaged, but as we have come to expect from the geniuses at DigitMovies, thes tapes were lovingly restored to at last, provide the definitive “Gentleman Jo…uccidi” experience. Please nite, that owing to the condition of the source material, there is some distortion, especially notice in the early tracks… but hey, this is ALL there is!
