The jury is still out on this one. Tom Weisser (whom we respect in these matters) considers this not only an above-average Fulci film but ranks it as one of the better, late spaghetti westerns. On the other hand, Stephen Thrower author of the FABulous (and exhaustive) Fulci tome, Beyond Terror, considers this a contemptible waste of time. You pays your money…

There was never originally a full soundtrack release for Sella D'Argento - instead, in 1978 there was a 7" single released featuring two songs by the noted Canadian singer Ken Tobias who also provided the lyrics for the main theme.

For this premier CD release, the guys at DigitMovies have again done it again, to assemble, for better or worse, the DEFINITIVE version of this rare soundtrack. Highlights include Tobais’ alternate versions of the opening song, complete with recaps of the major plot points and the deliciously annoying track, “Lonely Mouth Organ”. You really hope the character gets shot on this one!
