DigitMovies’ on-going survey of the Giallo scores of Bruno Nicolai continues with a stunning entry.

This is the incredible soundtrack to the cult giallo from 1972, Tutti I Colori Del Buio (AKA All the Colors of the Dark, Day of the Maniac, Demons of the Dead etc) directed by genre favorite Sergio Martino and starring George Hilton, Ivan Rassimov and the always watchable Edwige Fenech.

As if there were any doubt, this CD (clocking in at 29 tracks!) affirms Nicolai as one of the greats of giallo scoring with Edda Dell'Orso providing the lovely wordless vocals and even some Sitar playing from ‘Sandro. Musically, this score runs the gamut from intimate Edda purring in your ear to some truly creepy modernistic episodes (think Penderecki ca. mid- ‘60s). Highly collectable!
