AKA:
The Nuns Monastery of Archangel
Sisters of Satan
The Nun and the Devil
We’ve all waited for some and now,
we got ‘em:
NUNSPLOITATION!
Here’s a pair of rare soundtracks from the always-resourceful Piccioni.
“LE MONACHE DI SANT’ARCANGELO” (1972) was cranked out by Domenico Paolella
(aka Paolo Dominicile) and details the adventures of a hot young novice.
The OST was originally released on an incredibly limited edition LP and
features a lot of liturgical-sounding themes and alternates them with
some nice, contemporary atmospherics.
Filling out the disc are some additional tracks NOT appearing on the original LP release.
Also included is the complete soundtrack to the sort-of sequel to “LE MONACHE…”,
the utterly forgettable "STORIA DI UNA MONACA DI CLAUSURA", This score forms an
organic whole with the earlier film, utilizing several themes for the earlier
soundtrack as well as some fresh material – we all now how important it is for
Trash Cinema to have some organic unity!
Another beautifully remastered edition with a lovely, lurid booklet in DigitMovies tradition!
