Yeah, Baby… we gots it! Finally, the soundtracks to the cult 70's horror movie “Mark of the Devil” (Hexen Bis Aufs Blut Gequält - 1970) and it HAS been worth the wait! Directed by Michael Armstrong and Adrian Hoven and starring an attractive cast -Herbert Lom, Udo Kier, Reggie Nalder and the voluptuous Olivera Vuco, Mark of the Devil created quite a stir when it was first released. Younger collectors may not remember the time when movies received an “X” rating for graphic violent content, nor the the nifty promotional gimmick of giving movie patrons a complimentary “Barf Bag”, just in case but MOTD had it all - fantastic locations, cast, graphic use of real torture implements, and some fairly sophisticated gore effects - and the beautiful soundtrack scored by Michael Holm, surely the PRETTIEST theme this side of “Cannibal Holocaust”!

Mark of the Devil 2 (Hexen Geschändet Und Zu Tode Gequält - 1972) was an OK sequel, and features a more traditional, but very high quality orchestral soundtrack.

All tracks featured on this compact disc are previously unreleased, and includes alternate versions and outtakes which do not appear in the movie.

CAVAET EMPTOR – Please note that on a couple of the tracks , there is an unfortunately tape hiss and sonic distortion. Oh, the indignity of being a Low-Budget soundtrack!
